Should Kids Teachers Deal With Excessive Bullying

In order to more effectively deal with the widespread problem of bullying, it should be considered a crime. Bullies have been around for years continuously tormenting others with verbal and physical abuse. School systems have made rule after rule to prevent this kind of behavior, and to protect the students that are on the receiving end of the bullying. It is evident that the only way there will truly be a change in this generation is for bullying to be considered a crime. There are a select people that are being targeted for abuse, whom are those who dare to be even slightly different than others. If the child is around negative behavior constantly, and is continuously bullied, the relationship skills will be inc redibly poor. Although some believe bullying should be considered an act that might require legal actions, there are those who believe there are other ways to solve this issue. For example, â€Å"some guidelines are emerging to help schools choose the programs that best fit their situation† (Greene, Greene, Elias, Ansary,2015, p. 30). If these guidelines can provide programs that can get through to the students and get them on a path that decreases bullying, there will be no need for authorities to be involved. Green, Greene, Elias, Ansary (2015) say that,† Effective programs employ a whole-school approach, ensuring that all school community members are on board with preventing harassment, intimidation, and bullying† (p. 34). Obviously, the staff of the school has to support the program in order for it to be effective, but students also have to stand up for their classmates when they see they are in a time of need.
